Preparation at home
Well prepared for the trip
Those who are well prepared before departure, save time, nerves and often money. This ancient wisdom is also true for a medical trip.
Please be prepared with these things, and please note the hints:
- A visa for Germany for you and your family or other companions. You obtain this at the German Embassy or a German consulate in your country of origin.
- If there is an issuing problem with the visa, please immediately contact AMADAY-Medical Support.
- All current investigation reports and other documents that are of pertinence to your illness and the treatment
- All documents including; any x-rays, CT or MRI images, and available tissue samples.
- Tissue samples will be provided in a so-called biopsy report. The doctors will have taken a small tissue sample from your body, to gain further details about your illness. These samples are mostly repealed. If you bring this, the German physicians will find it very helpful and time saving.
- Make sure that you are really sending the most recent treatment reports.
- A list of your current medication, if not in treatment report
- Do not forget to bring the drugs that you are currently taking.
- Certificates or proof of all allergies
- The addresses of your relatives who stay at home, but want to stay informed.
- And finally: remember that the climate in Germany is not as warm as in your home. Bring enough warm clothing so that you and your family are prepared for colder days.
On completion of your treatment contract with AMADAY Medical and the German Clinic, along with contract documents you will also be sent a checklist for the trip preparations. Please contact AMADAY Medical if there are any other concerns not addressed.
