Visas and Permits
Entry Permits
Upon your request for services of AMADAY Medical, we will clarify whether you and your family or other persons accompanying are in requirement for a visa for medical treatment in Germany. In most cases this will be the an affirmative.
If a visa is required, you will receive a detailed guide, with which you can request the entry visa to Germany, for the duration of your treatment, from the German consulate/embassy located in your country of residence.
A visa can only be granted when the treatment at the German hospital is confirmed. This confirmation will be sent, the fastest way possible, after connecting the treatment contract.
If it is contrary to expectations, obtaining a visa is creating problems, please notify us immediately so that we can get in contact with the appropriate consulate or embassy.
Medical documentation
It is important that existing medical documentation be provided timely, in order for the German hospital to have time to review and evaluate!
This being so, you do not need to send ALL existing medical information, only those medical documents which AMADAY Medical informs you, in advance, are necessary and pertain to the preparation of your detailed medical estimate.
In every case – please be sure to bring the following documents pertaining to your illness, created at home:
- Make sure that they are the most current and up-to date reports.
- This includes X-rays, CT and / or MRI images and, if possible, tissue samples.
- If you have biopsy tissue samples, if possible, bring them with you. (In a biopsy will be your body small tissue samples, taken for the verification and to support the diagnoses of the disease.) These tissue samples will, in many cases, be retained by the treating physician and can be very helpful for the German clinics.
- Do not forget to bring the medicines that you regularly need.
Residence permit
In addition to the visa, a separate permit may be required for you or your family members - for example in occurrence of an extended stay. AMADAY will work in collaboration with you to obtain the approval of these additional permits.
Sickness when traveling and accident insurance
We recommend an insurance policy, for your family or other accompanying persons, for the duration of your trip to Germany through the return trip to your home. in case of illness of accident.
If it is your wish, the insurance policy can be included in AMADAY’s total service package.
